Eagles chief Ian Holloway is said to be in the market for a number of players in the coming months, as he looks to build a squad capable of achieving Premier League safety.
The latest name on his list is Odemwingie, and the Bristolian is hopeful that a £1.8million offer may tempt the Baggies to part company with the controversial Nigerian.
The 31-year-old fell out of favour at The Hawthorns at the back end of last season, after attempting to force through a January move to QPR.
Following the embarrassing incident – he drove to Loftus Road on deadline day only to be a told his move was off – Odemwingie has made little secret of his desire to leave the Midlands.
Holloway is hopeful that he can take advantage of the situation, and add some experience to his side.
Replacing Wilfried Zaha – who has left to join Manchester United – is also a priority at Selhurst Park, and Odemwingie’s ability to perform from a wide position is another tempting factor.
Meanwhile, Palace have also been liked with Blackpool starlet Tom Ince, who is wanted by a host of top flight teams.
Does Peter Odemwingie deserve another chance? And could he be the ideal man for Crystal Palace?
