Crystal Palace should make a move for out-of-favour Chelsea man Victor Moses to strengthen their attacking options and help them avoid relegation to the Championship, and also reinvigorate the Nigerian's stagnating career.

What's the word, then?

The 27-year-old has made just one start this season under Maurizio Sarri, coming in a League Cup victory against Liverpool. His fortunes this season have been a huge contrast to his contributions throughout the previous two years, in which he made over 50 Premier League starts under Antonio Conte and played a huge part in the title success of 2017.

Unfairly, however, the former Nigerian international has fallen hugely out of favour with the Blues' new Italian boss, who has removed Moses' former area of expertise at right wing-back in favour of Cesar Azpilicueta in a flat back four.

Moses can also play on the wings or even at centre-forward, as he has done for his country in the past, but Sarri doesn't appear to be a fan of playing the Palace academy graduate anywhere in his side at the moment.

Why would he fit Palace?

As aforementioned, the Nigerian came through the Eagles' youth ranks as a child, making his professional debut with the south Londoners. It is a club close to Moses' heart and a place where he would get an abundance of patience, backing and support from adorning fans who will take him back with open arms in the way that they did with Wilfried Zaha after his botched Manchester United move.

Additionally, Roy Hodgson's side are yet to have a recognised senior striker score a league goal for them so far this season - all of Connor Wickham, Alexander Sorloth, Christian Benteke and Jordan Ayew have just one goal between them, thanks to Sorloth's League Cup strike against Swansea.

Moses is a dangerous, physical forward who will definitely ask questions of opposition defences should be be lining up alongside Zaha and Andros Townsend in attack for the Eagles, and he shouldn't cost too much either.
