Crystal Palace to use transfer windfall for Liverpool ace & Bolasie replacement

Crystal Palace are ready to use the £25m-£30m they’ll receive from selling Yannick Bolasie to Everton to fund moves for Christian Benteke and Hal Robson-Kanu, according reports from the Mirror.

The Eagles yesterday accepted an offer from the Toffees for their pacey wide-man, with the Toffees keen to splash the cash after the sale of John Stones to Manchester City for close to £50m.

Although losing the DR Congo ace, assuming he agrees terms with the Merseyside club, will be a blow for Palace boss Alan Pardew, the club are ready to use the money raised to make moves for Liverpool’s Benteke and ex-Reading ace Robson-Kanu.

The south London club have been chasing Benteke for much of the summer, but the Reds’ firm £32m valuation has been an issue, albeit it’s thought that a compromise will be reached.

As well as the Belgium international, Palace want Robson-Kanu as a direct replacement for Bolasie.

The 27-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving Reading, but his stock is at an all-time high on the back of his EURO 2016 heroics with Wales.
