Drunken mistake from Crystal Palace keeper

Crystal Palace keeper Julian Speroni was involved in a drinking mishap ahead of their visit to West Ham United in the Premier League. The Hammers seem to have got the Palace keeper’s name wrong in the programme notes before today’s game:

No one likes to speculate, but it wouldn’t be surprising if West Ham’s programme is proof read on a Friday night at 6.15pm, when most people tend to have only one thing on their mind. We all make mistakes when we’re drinking, but this one is unforgivable.

Sam Allardyce and Alan Pardew go head-to-head in today’s Premier League fixture, with both men having managed Newcastle United and West Ham United in the league. Allardyce will feel he has the upper hand though, having won five and lost only one of their nine meetings as opposition coaches.

In addition to this, Palace have won just one of their last eight London derbies (W1 D3 L4). However, their last derby victory came at Upton Park last season.
