Back in November, a report revealed that Odsonne Edouard was on Crystal Palace's radar ahead of a possible January swoop for the striker.

It was believed that the French forward was in the Eagles' sights along with Rangers hitman Alfredo Morelos, although in the end, the south Londoners only signed Cenk Tosun on a loan deal from Everton.

However, it appears that the former Paris Saint-Germain attacker is perfectly happy at Celtic if his form since the window closed is anything to go by.

Edouard has featured in four games for Neil Lennon's side since January ended, and how he has shone.

The 22-year-old has scored four goals across those outings, helping the Hoops pick up four wins from encounters with Hamilton, Motherwell, Hearts and Aberdeen, while he has also registered two assists.

To further emphasise how impressive he has been, the Celtic No.22 also hasn't gone into the referee's book once.

In stark, stark contrast, Roy Hodgson's side have only found the back of the net once since the end of the transfer window, failing to score against Sheffield United in a 1-0 defeat while losing 3-1 to Everton in their next fixture.

While it remains to be seen if the south Londoners resurrect their interest in the Frenchman this summer, it does feel as if he would've been an extremely welcome addition to Hodgson's ranks given his prolific nature since the window finished, coupled with Crystal Palace's woes in front of the sticks.

Rather embarrassingly, Edouard's four goals so far in February would place him as the Eagles' second-top scorer behind six-goal Jordan Ayew.

Perhaps even more humiliating, however, is that fact that the Celtic forward's seasonal tally of 23 goals is the exact same as Crystal Palace have managed collectively in 26 Premier League games - they have scored the fewest goals in England's top-flight this season.

The south Londoners will hope to find their groove soon, although on this evidence, Edouard certainly would've been a welcome addition to their squad last month.
