Crystal Palace travel to Merseyside this weekend to take on Everton at Goodison Park, in what will be the Premier League's early kick-off on Saturday at 12:30pm.

The Eagles will be looking for their first win since Boxing Day, having failed to record a victory since the 2-1 win over West Ham at Selhurst Park - Roy Hodgson's side have only won three of their last 18 outings in all competitions.

In Everton's case, Carlo Ancelotti has won four of his eight games in charge of the Toffees since overseeing a 1-0 win over Burnley in his first match since replacing Marco Silva.

The Merseysiders' form has seen them rise into ninth on 33 points, just four points off fifth-placed Tottenham.

Let's take a look at the starting XI that we think Hodgson should go for in this encounter...

As you can see, we think the former England manager should make two changes from the XI which started against Sheffield United - that particular lineup was the Eagles' oldest-ever Premier League starting XI with an average age of 30 years and 94 days.

We think that Cheikhou Kouyate deserves to come back into the fold in place of James McCarthy, as the Irishman has played 90 minutes in every game since December 28th - given his colourful injury history, we think Hodgson should afford him some rest.

What could've been... Can you name the clubs these football legends almost joined?

Elsewhere, after another goalless display against Sheffield Wednesday last time out, we feel that Christian Benteke deserves to return to the bench with Jordan Ayew returning to a centre-forward role and Andros Townsend coming back into the XI now that he has resumed full fitness.

January signing Cenk Tosun cannot play as he is on loan from Everton, and as Connor Wickham departed the club last month, leaving Benteke on the bench would at least give the Eagles an option to bring on.
