According to a report from 'The Non-League Football Paper', Crystal Palace are keeping tabs on Leyton Orient striker Macauley Bonne, who is in fine form for the National League leaders - Huddersfield, Newcastle, Fulham and Leicester are also said to be interested, with the Foxes supposedly leading the race for the next Jamie Vardy.
The 23-year-old forward has scored 17 goals in 24 games for the O's this season, helping them to the top of the league. Bonne has been in consistently fine form since arriving from Colchester last year, scoring 25 goals for the club in his first full season to add to his 17 so far in the current campaign.
The Zimbabwe international had the chance to leave in the summer, but remained loyal to Orient by signing a new two-year contract. However, his loyalty could be tested if one of the aforementioned Premier League sides come calling.
Palace's striking woes have been well documented this season, but surely Bonne isn't the answer.
