Crystal Palace got back to winning ways against Newcastle on Saturday.

For the first time in eight matches in the Premier League, they picked up all three points. The 1-0 scoreline was a slender one, but the Eagles managed more than twice as many shots as their opponents (18 to 8).

Did he really play for us?! No Palace fan has managed to name all of these obscure Eagles signings....

There were plenty of impressive performers, but Jordan Ayew particularly stood out. The Palace fans were delighted with his showing, and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

The Ghana international was indeed in top form against Steve Bruce's side. His SofaScore rating of eight was beaten only by Patrick van Aanholt, who scored the only goal of the match from a beautifully struck free-kick. The 28-year-old was a ball of energy, and deserves all the plaudits for his display.

In all fairness, he has similar creative abilities to Wilfried Zaha - the Ivory Coast international has averaged one key pass per game in the Premier League, whilst Ayew has 0.8.

A couple of fans, meanwhile, were quick to point out just how much value for money they are getting from him.

Ayew joined Palace for just £2.5m from Swansea City, and although whether he is worth £30m is up for debate, he still has a Transfermarkt market value of £7.2m - far more than what they bought him for.

Whilst he was happy with his display, one fan questioned his finishing however.

During the 90 minutes, Ayew had seven shots but failed to score. Whilst most other parts of his game were impressive on the day, that is something he needs to work on.

Elsewhere, Crystal Palace fans react to Real Madrid's interest in this outcast.
