According to The Sun (print edition, February 23rd, page 63), Crystal Palace are set to send scouts to watch Eintracht Frankfurt star Filip Kostic in action.

What's the word, then?

Well, the 27-year-old has been in fine form for the Bundesliga outfit this season.

He has scored four goals while grabbing an impressive eight assists in 21 Bundesliga starts, winning a respectable five WhoScored Man of the Match awards.

Kostic - a Serbia international with 32 caps for his country - has also netted three DFB-Pokal goals, while also notching two goals and one assist in the Europa League, scoring in Frankfurt's win over RB Salzburg in the Round of 32.

The report states that the Frankfurt No.10 could be available for around £10m this summer.

Would easily be Roy Hodgson's most creative asset

Kostic's attacking numbers from the current campaign are fantastic, and would easily ensure that he becomes the Eagles' most creative asset should be make the move to Selhurst Park.

Aside from his healthy amount of goal involvements, the former Hamburg playmaker registers 2.9 shots per game in the Bundesliga this term, while also making 2.5 key passes and completing 3.1 dribbles per 90 minutes in Germany's top-flight.

If you were compare that to Crystal Palace's existing players, it would make for damning reading on their behalf.

Wilfried Zaha is the Eagles' highest assist-maker with three to his name this term - one less than Kostic.

In terms of shots per game, Ayew takes the most with 1.6 efforts - nowhere near Kostic's 2.9.

In the key passes department, Luka Milivojevic is the most prolific Crystal Palace player in that department with a mere 1.2 per game, significantly lower than the Frankfurt star's 2.5 - Brandon Pierrick actually sits top with two per game, but those came in just seven minutes of action this term.
