Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after The Sunday Mirror (print version, via The Pink Un) revealed that the Eagles are interested in a move for Norwich left-back Jamal Lewis.

The 21-year-old has made 15 Premier League appearances for the Canaries this season, having made 42 outings last term as Daniel Farke guided the Norfolk-based club to the top-flight as champions.

Lewis grabbed four assists in that 2018/19 campaign, but has been a part of a struggling Norwich side who have amassed just 17 points so far this season from 23 Premier League games.

Roy Hodgson could do with another left-back in his ranks, as only Patrick van Aanholt is a natural option in the role - although Jeffrey Schlupp and Jairo Riedewald are capable of proving cover there.

The Eagles have also been linked with a move for Angers left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri, while The Sun have also reported that Hearts left-back Aaron Hickey is on the south Londoners' radar.

Let's see what the Crystal Palace fans on Twitter have been saying about the Lewis news...

To begin the discussion, a supporter named Sam didn't feel that Norwich would sell their No.12 this month, although said that "this is a deal we should be all over in the summer".

Elsewhere, Anthony questioned if Lewis is better than Riedewald, before saying that he doesn't think so himself - in fairness, the Dutchman has been in eye-catching form of late.

Meanwhile, these two fans both referred to Lewis' Norwich teammate Max Aarons, who Palace were linked with back in the summer (The Mirror, print version, 5 July, page 61).

'Chethegeezer' said that the full-back duo "would be good deals" in the summer, whereas Thomas simply demanded that the south Londoners "take Max Aarons too".

Lastly, these two supporters named Adam and Seb expressed their satisfaction at this transfer rumour.

Adam said that he'd "happily take him at Palace" before mentioning that Lewis is "very solid at times" but is "still young" and potentially dangerous on the counter attack.

Call yourself a Premier League expert? How much did each of these big-money January signings cost?

Seb called the Canaries youngster a "quality player" before mentioning how good he is on FIFA - say no more.
