Liverpool told to make ‘extraordinary’ offer for wing star

New Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew claims that he does not want Liverpool target Yannick Bolasie to leave the club, but that “extraordinary” offers for the winger may be impossible to turn down.

The DR Congo wide-man has impressed for the Eagles so far this term, with his notable showing in the 3-1 win over the Reds at Selhurst Park rumoured to have wowed Brendan Rodgers.

The Merseysiders have since been linked with a move for the pacey 25-year-old, who has one goal and four assists to his name.

Any sale is likely to mark a massive profit on the £500,000 Palace paid Bristol City for Bolasie two years ago, but Pardew – who recently left Newcastle to manage the side he used to play for – says that he has no interest in letting his man head away from south London, although that may be impossible:

“Like with any player you can never say never, and I learned that at Newcastle, losing Andy Carroll on the last day of the window,” he is quoted by The Express.

“So never say never but I think it would take an extraordinary bid to take him away from this football club in the situation we are in.

“I would be very surprised if any club wanted to make that phone call.”
