Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has confessed that he is “in the dark” over Wilfried Zaha’s long-term future.
The England international is currently on loan with the Eagles after dropping down the pecking order at Manchester United.
He officially joined United from Palace ahead of the start of last season, but a difficult start to the campaign saw him fall out of favour with then boss David Moyes before being sent out to Cardiff City on loan – whom he was relegated with.
Reports suggest that the south London club are willing to pay around £3m to keep Zaha permanently, but Pardew – who recently took charge at Selhurst Park after a turbulent spell with Newcastle – says that he has no idea what is going on with his young winger’s future:
“That deal, if I’m honest, I’m not up to speed on — or whether it is a deal. “ He is quoted by ESPN. “I’m completely in the dark on the situation.”
Zaha, born in the Ivory Coast, started his career with Palace and has shone since returning to the club.
