[ad_pod ]If you asked most Crystal Palace fans what their highlight of the season was, it would undoubtedly be the 3-2 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in December, in which Andros Townsend scored an absolute worldie.The Premier League champions looked to have cleared the danger after Bernardo Silva headed away but former Spurs man Townsend was waiting on the edge of the box to unleash a thunderbolt of a volley that, as it flew into the top corner, gave Ederson no chance.It will undoubtedly be in the conversation for goal of the season but, after Mohamed Salah scored another contender against Chelsea, Palace legend Mark Bright has said the other nominations will be for the sake of formality:

The former striker says that the technique required to hit a volley like that is much more difficult to produce than the aforementioned Salah strike and Anthony Knockaert's goal against the Eagles, both of which were also left-footed rifles.
