Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after Turkish outlet Fanatik reported that Monaco were left 'impressed' by Alexander Sorloth's performance against Fenerbahce recently.

The 2017 Ligue 1 champions actually came to watch Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muric, although after Sorloth managed to find the net against Trabzonspor's Super Lig rivals in a 2-1 win, Monaco were left starry-eyed by what they saw from the Norwegian.

The 24-year-old is currently on a two-year loan stint at Trabzonspor from Selhurst Park, having arrived at Crystal Palace in January 2018 in a deal worth a reported £9m from Danish side FC Midtjylland.

However, he scored just once in 20 appearances for the south Londoners before joining KAA Gent on loan midway through the 2018/19 campaign, where he netted five goals in 22 outings.

The 22-cap Norway international then returned to SE25, only to be shipped out to Trabzonspor on a two-year loan where he has quite simply flourished with 19 goals and five assists in all competitions.

Following the news that Monaco were left impressed by him, let's see what the Crystal Palace fans on Twitter have had to say...

To kick off the reaction, Luke said that he has to admit that he's "starting to question Roy's judgement on a lot of players we've had" - these concerns were recently echoed by us in an article questioning why Jairo Riedewald was left to rot on the sidelines, given his impressive performances of late.

Elsewhere, these two fans continued the discussion.

Martin Barry exclaimed that it was "typical" while Tony Peters said that it's "irrelevant how much we sell him for" as the Eagles' American owners Josh Harris and David Blitzer "would trouser their cut" with none of the remaining funds being invested in the squad.

Meanwhile, 'Stripey' suggested that it "would be good to give" Sorloth another chance at Selhurst Park as a result of his "new found confidence and goal scoring record" - it surely wouldn't do any harm.

Lastly, these two fans named their price for Sorloth.

For away day veterans only: Can you name all of these defunct stadiums?

@OwenQuick2 said "£25m and they can have him" while Michael demanded a swap deal involving Monaco forward Wissam Ben Yedder, who has netted 15 Ligue 1 goals this season - that seems very unlikely to happen.
