Crystal Palace: Max Meyer responds to Connor Wickham’s Instagram post

Max Meyer has responded to Connor Wickham’s latest Instagram post, his second upload since he joined Sheffield Wednesday on loan until the end of the campaign.

The Ipswich academy graduate completed a temporary switch to Hillsborough on deadline day, having found game time hard to come by at Selhurst Park under Roy Hodgson this season – Wickham made no Premier League starts, only appearing from the bench on six occasions in England’s top-flight this term.

Meyer is another player who has struggled for consistent action, making only six Premier League starts in the current campaign – the Germany international has also made six substitute outings.

After his teammate uploaded an image of himself in training alongside his new Sheffield Wednesday colleagues, the former Schalke man responded by typing out nothing but a fire emoji to send to his fellow Crystal Palace companion, who he will not see now until the summer – unless they meet up on their own accord!
