Crystal Palace talisman Wilfried Zaha has posted a hilarious response on Twitter to a video showcasing a cringe-worthy moment for one bystander at a recent match. The man in question - Sam McCreedy - tweeted a video of himself standing outside the team coach ahead of a game at Selhurst Park, in which he is stood with his hand out anticipating a handshake as Zaha approaches.

However, the Ivory Coast international is seemingly chatting to someone else behind Sam, and ends up walking straight past the hopeful man on his way into the dressing room.

Sam tweeted the video along with the caption: "Legend has it I'm still stood there with my hand out @wilfriedzaha."

Humorously, the former Manchester United winger replied to Sam with: "Sorry geez didn’t even realise" along with a laughing emoji and a face-palm emoji.

While it may have been an embarrassing moment for the unlucky bystander at the time, we presume that he will be feeling slightly better after finally receiving some acknowledgement from the Crystal Palace star.

Someone's got to own them: Who do these incredibly unwanted PL records belong to?
