Everton and West Ham join race for Baggies loanee

A number of Premier league clubs including Everton and West Ham are preparing a move for West Brom’s on-loan midfielder Morgan Amalfitano, according to reports in L’Equipe.

The 29-year-old French midfielder has impressed in the top-flight during a loan spell from Marseille this season, scoring four goals and assisting four others.

And it is believed he could be the subject of a transfer tug-of-war between the likes of Everton, West Ham, Hull City and La Liga side Sevilla this summer.

Marseille are expected to allow the midfielder to leave the Stade Velodrome as part of a squad overhaul at the end of the campaign, although it is not yet known whether the midfielder would prefer to remain in the Premier League or not.

Sevilla and Everton are thought to be the front-runners for Amalfitano, with the Spanish side reportedly identifying him as an ideal replacement for Ivan Rakitic, who is being targeted by the likes of Liverpool and Juventus.
