Everton fans are absolutely loving Theo Walcott, after their match winner seemed to have a dig at Sam Allardyce after Monday’s win.
It’s been a long season for Everton fans, so much so they don’t really even enjoy it that much when they win anymore.
The Toffees trumped Rafa Benitez’s Newcastle at Goodison Park on Monday night, with Theo Walcott grabbing the winning goal and being crowned man of the match.
Despite the win though, plenty of fans were annoyed by the performance. The Toffees mustered just one shot on target, which is the fifth time that has happened this season at Goodison.
Cenk Tosun was isolated all night, and although they had the lion’s share of the possession the home side did very little in terms of threatening their visitors.
Walcott was interviewed on Sky Sports after the match, and his comments when asked to compare Big Sam with Arsene Wenger have got Everton laughing at their manager.
“Yeah, they are completely different levels of the way they manage. I think everyone can tell that,’ the speedy winger said.
Fans are desperate for Allardyce to leave this summer, and some of the best Twitter reactions can be found below…
