Everton have signed Tottenham Hotspur winger Aaron Lennon on loan until the end of the season, according to as reported by the Daily Star.
The England international has struggled to make an impact under new Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino this season, despite making 17 appearances for the White Hart Lane this evening.
And Everton boss Roberto Martinez decided to move for the winger after both Hull City and Stoke City made advances early on today.
The Daily Star claim Martinez initially feared any chances of doing a deal would have to involve sending Belgium international Kevin Mirallas the other way, which is a deal Everton have never been interested in.
But the Toffees managed to secure a loan move for the 27-year-old without having to let go of his star man Mirallas, with Lennon in-line to make his Everton debut in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool on Saturday.
Lennon signed for Spurs in a £1million switch from Leeds in 2005 and has since made over 350 appearances in all competitions for the north London club, scoring 30 goals.
