Ronald Koeman is well known to both Everton and Southampton fans given that he has been in charge of both.

The Dutchman spent two years as Saints manager, guiding the team to sixth in the Premier League table and qualification for the Europa League.

In the summer of 2016, Koeman made the controversial decision to join Everton, where he secured Europa football for the Toffees in his first season.

The 54-year-old's second campaign did not go as smoothly, despite overseeing a spend of around £100m in the summer transfer window.

Koeman was sacked by the Merseyside outfit in October with the club lingering around the relegation zone.

The former Barcelona player now has a new job, coaching the Netherlands national team.

Koeman takes over from Dick Advocaat, who left the position after the nation failed to qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

Everton and Southampton fans had something to say about the appointment, with the latter realising that their former boss will not be returning to replace Mauricio Pellegrino.
