The 27-year-old Italy international was the Nerazzurri’s captain until last winter, at which time manager Roberto Mancini opted to take the armband from him and hand it to striker Mauro Icardi.
Although Ranocchia went on to play regularly over the back end of 2014/15, he’s been handed just 27 minutes of competitive football so far this term, which has left him feeling frustrated.
And now reports claim that a move in 2016 is a possibility, with Everton and Tottenham considered to be front-runners, while Newcastle are also interested.
Ranocchia is unlikely to be available at a knockdown rate, with the defender having only signed a new four-year contract over the summer.
The 20-cap Italian stands at 6ft. 5” and has been lauded for his physicality and reading of the game in the past.
