Everton turn to England man as they begin to bid farewell to Howard

Everton are lining up a move for Burnley ‘keeper Tom Heaton as they aim to replace Tim Howard this summer, report the Daily Mail.

The Toffees are set to bid farewell to their decade long serving American custodian this summer as he closes in on a return to the MLS.

In light of his imminent departure, the Merseyside club have reportedly turned their attentions to Heaton.

The 29-year old former Manchester United trainee has flourished under the stewardship of Sean Dyche at Turf Moof after a relatively slow start to his career.

He has been called into the England squad under Roy Hodgson on a number of occasions and could even make the Euro 2016 squad, depending on the extent of Jack Butland’s ankle injury.

Despite not making an appearance for the senior side as of yet, he has three caps at under-21 level and a regular inclusion in Hodgson’s squads.
