Tonight sees one of the most highly anticipated fixtures of the festive season as Liverpool travel to neighbours Everton for the Merseyside derby.
It’s a fixture which has encapsulated the north and indeed football as a whole as the two city rivals have developed a reputation for it being one of the fiercest encounters in English football.
Luck is certainly not the lady for the hosts, as the boys from Goodison Park have won just once in their previous 19 encounters with Liverpool, which came all the way back in 2010.
Liverpool, on the other hand, go into the fixture not only with a great record in the derby, but in a fine run of form themselves having lost only once in their last 14 Premier League matches this season, and a win would take them into second place in the table.
The line-ups for the hotly awaited encounter have been announced on Twitter…

For the hosts, Phil Jagielka is out because of a one match suspension, which sees Funes Mori step in his place.
For Liverpool, Divock Origi starts again as the Belgium international hopes to continue his fine run of form, while Daniel Sturridge misses out with a calf problem, although he is on the bench.
