Leighton Baines has never really established himself as an England regular but he’s been a fine servant to Everton during recent years, becoming a crucial part of the Toffees set-up throughout his career on Merseyside.
Proving to be a useful asset in both attack and defence, the numbers for the full-back are extremely impressive and his fine assist for Seamus Coleman’s equalising goal against Arsenal last night gave him superb numbers.
Leighton Baines has now recorded 20 league assists since 2012/13; more than any other Premier League defender.

Since the 2012/13 season, Baines has registered 20 assists and that’s a number no other Premier League defender can boast. With Everton struggling, Baines’ performance could be crucial to reviving the form of Ronald Koeman’s side.
A crucial Merseyside derby next Monday will be another stern test for the experienced defender and Everton need to put together a run of form if they are to secure a return to European competitions next season.
Having left Southampton for Everton, Koeman will be keen to ensure that his side finishes above the Saints- otherwise it could be rather embarrassing for the Dutch boss.
