Many Everton fans have reacted on Twitter after The S*n reported that Manchester United could be lining up a move for £50m-rated striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
The centre-forward has certainly hit a purple patch in front of goal in recent weeks, netting five times in his previous five Premier League appearances and reaching double figures for the season against Newcastle United last time out.
Now The S*n report that the Red Devils are eyeing up the 22-year-old having lost out to Borussia Dortmund for the signature of Red Bull Salzburg’s Erling Haaland, although Toffees manager Carlo Ancelotti surely won’t want to lose him.
Indeed, the Italian has even suggested that “he is going to be at the top in England and in Europe”, as per The Daily Mail, which surely means it is unlikely the 60-year-old would sanction his exit.

However, not all fans had the same point of view, with one suggesting he would “bite their hand off for £50m” if the offer came in, and another saying he would walk him to Old Trafford for £15m.

That reaction is certainly understandable considering he only has 27 goals in 115 games for the Merseyside outfit, but on the other hand he has certainly shown signs in recent weeks that he could become an all-round centre-forward for them.
Bite their hand off for £50M.

If we sell DCL for £50m and replace him with James Rodriguez for £45m it will go down as the greatest transfer dealing of all time. https://t.co/6tiWgzYxMP
