Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed in his West Ham United pre-match press conference that key duo Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson will miss the Premier League clash at the London Stadium on Saturday through injury, as per The Athletic's Patrick Boyland on Twitter.

Richarlison is said to have picked up a knee injury, but his Italian manager has said that he is hopeful that he will be fit for Tuesday's clash against Newcastle United at Goodison Park.

It is certainly a big blow to lose the 22-year-old to injury given he has scored 10 goals in 27 appearances in all competitions for the Toffees this season - only Dominic Calvert-Lewin can match that tally - while he has formed a strong relationship up top with the Englishman in Ancelotti's preferred 4-4-2 system, too.

Moise Kean could well be given the opportunity to start in the Brazilian's absence, while Ancelotti will also need to work out who is going to come in for Sigurdsson.

The Iceland international has started all of the 60-year-old's matches at the helm so far, and has two goals and one assist in 24 outings in total in 2019/20.

Fabian Delph and Morgan Schneiderlin will be the two players in contention if Tom Davies is to keep his spot following the 1-0 win against Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend.
