There have been a lot of twists and turns in the transfer story involving Barcelona defender Yerry Mina.

Everton and Manchester United have been the high-profile clubs linked to the centre-back's signature, and in the last few weeks it seemed as though the Red Devils were winning the race.

On Sunday, Mundo Deportivo reported that Mina had agreed a five-year deal with United, but the club were yet to come to an arrangement with Barcelona over a fee.

Another Spanish publication have reported a very different story, which involves Everton ending up as victors in this transfer saga.

According to Sport, the Catalan giants have agreed a €32m (£28.5m) fee with the Toffees, and Mina has also accepted a five-year deal.

The conflicting reports suggest that this story could rumble on until the transfer window slams shut on Thursday.

Some Everton fans, though, are excited by Sport's claims that Mina is on the verge of moving to Goodison Park.

One supporter is even hopeful that the centre-back will score bundles of goals after he netted three for Colombia at the World Cup in Russia.
