Everton boss backs predecessor to bounce back

Everton manager Roberto Martinez believes David Moyes will have no trouble bouncing back from his Manchester United nightmare.

Martinez replaced Moyes at Goodison Park last summer as the Scot took up the offer of replacing Sir Alex Ferguson at United.

But while the Spaniard has enjoyed a successful first season in charge at Goodison Park, David Moyes suffered a disastrous campaign that saw him relieved of his duties just nine months in to a six-year contract.

But Martinez has no doubts that Moyes will be back at the helm of a Premier League club before long.

He told MailOnline: “It is not a nice situation when a manager loses his job, especially someone who has such strong links with our club.

“It has been a difficult experience but any experience is a good experience in this game unfortunately.

“We all know he is a very successful man and has a real strong winning mentality and he will get ready to bounce back straight away.

“I am sure he will be ready to get into another job as quick as he can and I am sure he won’t have a lack of offers or opportunities when you have someone who is so hard-working, focused and dedicated in his job.”
