Everton manager Ronald Koeman is keen to follow a potential deal for Stoke’s Marko Arnautovic with moves for a new goalkeeper, a new central defender and a new centre-back, according to reports from the Daily Mail.
The Toffees are thought to be closing in on the Potters’ Austrian ace, who may well become their second addition under the Dutchman following the signing of experienced goalkeeper, Maarten Stekelenburg.
However, Koeman wants more deal to be done, and while Arnatovic will go some way to solving issues in the final third, he still wants a goalie, a central defender and a central midfielder.
In terms of a new No.1, Chelsea’s Asmir Begovic has been aligned with the club, while at centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly remains a target after his agent hinted at serious interest from the Merseysiders in his client.
Axel Witsel appears to be the main option in midfield, with the Daily Mail highlighting him as the player the club want, but with Juventus keen, it remains to be seen if a deal is at all possible for the Belgian.
