The physically imposing Dutchman has quickly become one of the Eredivisie’s top defensive talents, and has even been compared to former Arsenal and Tottenham icon Sol Campbell.
His impressive form has alerted Roberto Martinez, who is said to be ready to launch a £6m move.
Martins Indi was born in Portugal but raised in Holland and now represents the Oranje at international level.
Everton were linked with a move for his signature over the summer, but were unable to beat the deadline to steal him away from Feyenoord.
But, Martinez is ready to return as he looks to build his squad for a push towards European qualification.
The Spaniard is keen to snap up the rugged enforcer before the World Cup, as he is wary that interest from larger clubs may surface if he impresses for the Netherlands.
Feyenoord manager Ronald Koeman says that he will not stand in the player’s way if he wants to make a move to a top level side
“Sometimes you can’t stand in the way of a player who needs a bigger stage to develop into a world-class player,” Koeman said.
“We have two or three players who we may have to sell, and Bruno is one of them.”
