Everton face battle for Eredivisie ace

Bruno Martins Indi (Feyenoord)Everton will have battle off interest from Roma if they are to secure a January deal for Feyenoord defender Bruno Martins Indi, according to reports from talkSPORT.

The Toffees were heavily linked with a swoop for the Dutchman over the summer, but opted against tying up a swoop before the deadline passed.

But, Roberto Martinez has remained interested in the 21-year-old ever since, and is thought to be ready to launch a fresh move for his signature once the transfer window re-opens.

However, the Spaniard will now have to see off Roma in the fight for Martins Indi.

The Italian giants are ready to make multiple moves this winter in a bid to build on an excellent start to the Serie A season.

The centre-back is thought to be one of their targets, and the Stadio Olimpico side have been buoyed by suggestions that Feyenoord could sell in the coming months.

Everton could be sucked into a bidding war for the youngster, with Martinez believed to see him as a perfect addition to his squad.

Martins Indo has been capped 12 times by Holland and is expected to represent the Oranje at next summer’s World Cup.
