Everton fans have been reacting to comments from Nikola Vlasic’s father, Josko Vlasic, who claimed the club was making a mistake by not playing the youngster.
Nikola Vlasic was signed from Hajduk Split last summer and has not had the desired impact at the club. Though he was likely signed with long-term plans in mind, many fans have questioned why he hasn’t played more this season. His father has now added fuel to that fire.
Nikola Vlasic’s father, Josko Vlasic, on Nikola Vlasic: “He started great and was then sent off to the side. He is progressing day-by-day, where he is better than he was a few months ago. He should be the prospect of the club, not some older players.” (Source: Dnenvo) pic.twitter.com/6PvxDe1ohy

The 20 year-old winger has made just eight league appearances since moving to Goodison, and has only started five of those.
He hasn’t found the net in the Premier League yet, but did impress in the Europa League this season, grabbing two goals and an assist three starts. Given the club’s troubles this season, especially the lack of goals, it does seem odd that the speedy youngster has not been given more of a chance.
Vlasic, who captained his former side Hajduk Split several times as a teenager, has kept quiet about his exclusion from regular first team minutes, but his father’s comments have left Everton fans asking the question once again – why isn’t he playing?

Can’t blame him though, Rare bright spark under Koeman, Swept aside by Unsworth, Given one chance by Big Sam while wasters like Williams, Martina, Schneiderlin are given all the chances in the world. One rule for one and another rule for another.

Really positive comments coming from the Vlasic camp there, almost refreshing from what we have been used to https://t.co/qmYx4kSSRm

Me neither. Looked promising when played, treated poorly at Everton in my opinion

100% agree with his dad, him and lookman are the future for our wing

I agree. He should be playing. Looks a good player but not given a proper chance.
