Everton picked up their first away victory in the English Premier League since December, defeating Stoke City 2-1 at the Britannia Stadium.

In difficult conditions, the Toffees were made to work hard for their win, despite Paul Lambert's side going down to ten men on the 30-minute mark.

Cenk Tosun gave the away side the lead before Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting equalised with 13 minutes remaining. However, Tosun's second of the afternoon late on was enough for the victory, easing the pressure on manager Sam Allardyce.

While Tosun was undoubtedly the hero of the afternoon, it was another Allardyce signing that caught the eye of many - Theo Walcott.

The former Arsenal has made a decent contribution since joining in January, undoubtedly an upgrade on the existing attacking talents at Goodison Park.

He drove the team to victory in the second half and assisted the winning Tosun effort, his fourth direct goal contribution in eight matches.

Fans are now hoping he can inspire them to a better season next term after a disappointing league campaign.
