Everton fans are split on the future of Sam Allardyce, after his side reached the crucial 40-point mark last weekend.
When Sam Allardyce arrived at Goodison Park to replace Ronald Koeman, there was a feeling he was just a stopgap option for the club, and that he would move on once Premier league safety was delivered.
Allardyce is a specialist at keeping clubs in the Premier League, and he has worked his magic with Everton, helping them reach the marker that most deem to indicate survival – 40 points.
Allardyce spoke about hitting 40 points after the win at Stoke, and said they are now preparing for next season.
Everton fans might have something to say about that though, and many are calling for his head now their safety is insured. There have been plenty of links to Shakhtar manager Paulo Fonseca in recent weeks.
Still, there are a few who think Big Sam deserves a summer transfer window and a fresh start, given how he turned the clubs fortunes around this season.

Think it’s fair to say job done, Allardyce out? Any time between now and the end of the season will do us.

If the goal is to plant roots in the middle of the table, we might as well keep him. But I'd venture a guess that if NSNO actually means anything moving forward, we're already well on our way to finding a manager who wants to achieve more than mid-table mediocrity and a paycheck.

He'll be here next season if we finish strongly and deservedly so.

his job was to ensure we stayed up. Job done now on your way and start again. Another gamble with a new manager but big sam won't get you where you want to be.
