Everton fans have been reacting to a link to Barcelona’s Paco Alcacer, and fans are adamant he’s not good enough to transform their attack.
With Cenk Tosun already waiting for his chance to shine at Goodison, any striker signing would have to be a truly top player to make any real waves, and fans aren’t impressed by the links to Alcacer.
According to Spanish outlet Sport, the Toffees have enquired about the availability of Alcacer during talks for centre back Yerry Mina.
The Spanish striker, who joined the Catalan club in 2016 but has barely made an impact due to the presence of Luis Suarez, was linked with a move to Goodison in January. The Toffees signed Tosun instead, who has quickly become a fan favourite.
Valued at £13.5m by Transfermarkt, the 24 year-old averages nearly a goal every three games in his 152 La Liga appearances, most of those coming with Valencia before his big move to Barcelona.
Signing a 24 year-old from Barcelona would be an excellent show of ambition from the club, but it seems fans aren’t impressed by the links.

Would prove to be a waste of money. He's far passed his best and the PL would not suit his style
