Loads of Everton fans have been giving their verdict on this weekend’s action, and they’ve got plenty to say about the return of Ross Barkley.
Everton travel to Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon looking to continue their incredible form under Marco Silva.
The former Hull City and Watford boss had a bit of a rocky start at Goodison, but the Toffees have now won four of their last five league encounters.
Chelsea of course are unbeaten though, and former Everton wonderkid Ross Barkley has had plenty of influence in that.
The 24 year-old had to settle for a place on the bench when Maurizio Sarri signed Mateo Kovacic on loan, but has scored three goals and added three assists since breaking into the side.
After barely playing under Antonio Conte, the dynamic midfielder has become a key part of Sarri’s plans, and will likely face Everton on Sunday for the first time since leaving the club.
Loads of fans have been having their say, and it’s seems like a pretty even split between calling him a snake and wishing him the best.
Either way, you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
I don't think we should lower ourselves to the point of abusing him. Ignoring his presence on the pitch would be far more fitting, considering that, in his time with us, he achieved very little of note.

Ross who? Oh the guy that ran his contract down lying on our treatment table to get higher wages then ripped his “boyhood” club apart in a newspaper.

Bring Besic back from Boro for one game … to break both of his legs.

Let’s prove him wrong an not even acknowledge he’s on the pitch, like we used to when he played for us

He’s a rat who betrayed his club… He’s going to get an awful reaction.

Ignore him. He was average at best by and large for us, save for a handful of games. He isn’t remotely missed and if he was offered back tomorrow for free I wouldn’t want him. Stones and Lukaku departures were harder to take

Fans were ruining him. Just like we’re currently ruining Davies. I wish him the best and would love him to reconsider one day

Hope he succeeds tbh, still a snake though

Yerry Mina talking about being a fan’s favourite…snap Barkley in half and he will cement that position for me

The way he left was odd and snake manner, but management was a mess under Koeman and I no longer have hatred towards guys like Barkley and Lukaku. I wish them both well
