Everton lost for the 11th time in the Premier League this season on Sunday as they suffered a 3-2 defeat to Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored twice for the Gunners, who recovered from conceding inside the first minute to ultimately record a 3-2 win.
Fabian Delph played 82 minutes of the match for the visitors, making three tackles and registering one shot during his time on the field, according to WhoScored.
The Everton fans were not impressed, though, with many taking to social media to criticise the England international for his performance.
Got to imagine Delph, Sigurdsson, Schniderlen will be embarrassed by the peformance from Gomes yesterday, the man snapped his ankle and then came back to put our best midfield performance in since he was gone🤷🏽♂️ pic.twitter.com/LxMI4XomKu

After today and if anyone is in any doubt we need to bin off Delph, Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson and build a new midfield around Gomes.
Only then will we be able to compete at the top end of the table.

As long as we have Delph, Sidibe, Siggurdson, Schneiderlin, Iwobi, Pickford in our team, we will continue to concede stupid goals, make mistake after mistake, and get over run in midfield. But, Don Carlo will know this and change it as soon as he is able #EFC #UTFT

Meanwhile, one supporter claimed that Delph, who arrived from Manchester City last summer, was ‘another useless signing’ by the club’s director of football Marcel Brands.
Agree totally. Delph is another useless brands signing. Iwobi not good enough

Another fan said that he would be looking to sell Delph this summer, although he is not the only one, with the individual in question setting out his dream transfer plans.
This is my ideal scenario which is highly unlikely but to fund it
And potentially Tom Davies

The criticism has not stopped there, though, with two more supporters hitting out at Delph’s perceived lack of leadership and commitment to the cause.
He’s a million percent right, squad is full to the brim of losers, zero leadership including Delph who’s brought none with him.

Shoey don’t get me started on Delph. I absolutely hate him. I tweeted that I had no idea why we were signing him, in the summer. He’s just a plodder at best
