Morgan Schneiderlin had a pretty good game for Everton against Newcastle United before being forced to leave the field early in the second period with a dead leg.

Indeed, the Frenchman showed glimpses of the type of work that once convinced Manchester United to bring the defensive midfielder to Old Trafford.

Schneiderlin, who is valued at £18m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has been widely praised for his performance against the Magpies on Monday night, with some claiming that it was his best showing for the club.

There is no question that the 28-year-old looked more lively and in tune with his teammates, but it seems that the Everton fans are not quite buying the praise that followed.

Indeed, the majority feel that the adulation was too much for a player that has really struggled to make his mark at Goodison Park since arriving in January 2017.

The Everton fans are pretty frustrated in general at the moment - particularly with head coach Sam Allardyce - and they have vented on social media once again.
