Loads of Everton fans have been reacting to some comments from Ross Barkley, as the England international thanked Everton for their role in his career.
Not too long ago, you’d be hard pushed to find a player in the Premier League with as much excitement around him as Barkley.
When the young Scouser broke into the Everton side, his unique mixture of pace, power, technique and vision, all mixed in with the odd wondergoal was stunning.

The 25 year-old scored 21 Premier League goals for the Toffees, but he left the club in sour fashion last year.
The 25-cap England star joined Chelsea for a fee of around £15m in January 2018, per the BBC, just six months after the midfielder was expected to make the move for a heftier fee.
Barkley had instead remained at Goodison while he recovered from a hamstring injury, which also coincidentally allowed his contract to run down, lowering his transfer fee.
It’s fair to say fans haven’t forgiven the midfielder for the way his move played out, and they aren’t taking too kindly to his video message.
“Just want to say a huge thank you to all the staff at Everton academy for helping me get to where I am today”, he said in a message posted on England’s official Twitter account.
Barkley has made just nine Premier League starts in the 12 months since his move (Whoscored), and the Twitter reactions down below aren’t pretty…

Shame he never said that when he left, what happened to “I was never really coached”. It’s a shame because the relationship is damaged beyond repair.
