Loads of Everton fans have been reacting to some comments from Kevin Mirallas, as the 31-year-old said he does not want to return to the club when his loan spell ends.

Mirallas was a fan favourite at Goodison not too long ago, and at his best the flying Belgian was one of the most dangerous wingers in the league.

His direct style of play, passion, fight and the occasional screamer quickly endeared him to fans after his move from Olympiacos, but inconsistencies and injuries ruined his Everton career.

The 60-cap Belgian international left on loan in January to re-join Olympiacos, but was poor in his 13 league games with the Greek giants.

His summer move to Italy hasn’t exactly gone to plan either, appearing just four times in Serie A so far for Fiorentina, but he says he wants to stay and fight for his place in Florence.

“My target is to remain here and convince Fiorentina to sign me on a permanent deal," Mirallas said.

"Fiorentina is a perfect club for me and the city is great. My family and I are in love with Florence. Everything is super here and I am ready to show that I am the right person in the right place.

“We are not living this situation as a temporary one but we want to make my stay permanent, it would be an extraordinary target for me.”
