According to Sky Sports News, Besiktas are interested in signing Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen on loan in this summer's transfer window.

Klaassen only joined Everton from Ajax in a £23.6m deal last summer.

The 16-time Netherlands international struggled to make his mark during the 2017-18 campaign, however, appearing in just seven Premier League matches for the Toffees.

Klaassen recently revealed that he wanted to stay on Merseyside to fight for his position, but Besiktas are reportedly preparing to test Everton's resolve.

It is understood that the Turkish giants want to sign Klaassen on loan with the view to a permanent transfer in next summer's window.

The Everton fans have been discussing the future of the 25-year-old, and it would be fair to say that the bulk are struggling to come to an agreement, despite a recent poll revealing that the club's supporters were in favour of the midfielder staying.
