It was not that long ago when Oumar Niasse could not even get a locker, let alone minutes on the pitch.
Now, the fans have been left delighted by news that the striker will remain at the club this season.
As reported by the Liverpool Echo, manager Marco Silva has insisted that he envisages seeing Niasse in his plans and has no intention of selling.
Silva is already familiar with the Senegal striker’s qualities having coached him during a loan spell at Hull City.
His time with the Tigers earned him a lifeline at Everton as he netted four goals and created one assist in 17 Championship appearances.
Last season, Niasse scored eight goals and provided two assists in 22 Premier League outings, 10 of which were starts.
In total, the striker has found the back of the net 12 times in the top flight, and he could add to that if he is given the chance by Silva during the 2018-19 campaign.
