It has been a tough year for Yannick Bolasie. After rupturing his cruciate ligament in the latter stages of 2016, it was feared that the attacker would never play at the top level again.
Bolasie made an emotional return to Premier League action on Boxing Day, however, as he played 61 minutes of Everton’s goalless draw with West Bromwich Albion.
It is going to take some time for the 28-year-old to return to full fitness following such a serious injury, but featuring against West Brom was a massive step in the right direction.
Bolasie took to Twitter on Tuesday to reveal his delight at returning to the fold, and the Everton supporters were on hand to hail the attacker, who is rated at £18m by transfermarkt.co.uk.
The Everton fans will have to wait until they see the best of the former Crystal Palace winger, but his return at this stage of the campaign will be like a new signing.
