Everton paid £25m to sign Michael Keane from Burnley during the summer transfer window.

The centre-back had been linked with a return to Manchester United, but it was Everton that acquired the services of the England international.

Keane, who is valued at £18m by transfermarkt.co.uk, has made 24 appearances in all competitions for Everton this season - 16 of which have come in the Premier League.

Whilst there is no doubting that the 25-year-old is a very good defender; it would be fair to say that he has struggled for consistency throughout the season.

A series of niggles have made it difficult for Keane to feature on a consistent basis, although he has now played four of Everton's last five Premier League matches.

Everton recently posted an interview with Keane where the centre-back discussed his first six months or so at Goodison Park.

The club's supporters still have faith in the former Man United youngster, but they want to see a lot more from him in the coming months.
