According to Goal.com, Everton have approached Barcelona over a move for centre-back Yerry Mina in this summer’s transfer window.
The 23-year-old only joined Barcelona from Palmeiras in January, but he struggled for football at Camp Nou in the second half of last season.
The defender appears to have come of age at the 2018 World Cup, however, scoring in three of Colombia’s four matches at this summer’s competition.
A towering header took Tuesday night’s last-16 clash with England into extra-time and ultimately penalties, before the South Americans exited the competition.
Mina was outstanding against England, and a number of clubs – including Liverpool – are believed to be attempting to sign him from Barcelona.
According to Goal.com, Everton have already spoken to Barcelona over a move this summer, and the Merseyside club’s fans have been reacting to the transfer speculation.
Having watched Mina star in Russia this summer, the Everton supporters are simply desperate for their club to bring the defender to England.

Now that would be a signing and a half ?

More like a loan then if he’s any good. Pity because he looks a player worth buying outright

A players form in the World Cup can be very deceiving but that Mina for Colombia looks superb. Would love us to sign him #EFC

He was annoyingly solid most of the game for them and would be an upgrade on Wiliams / Jags. If he plays like that week in week out he could be a decent addition to the squad
