Loads of Everton fans have been giving their verdict on Sunday’s defeat to West Ham, and they’re absolutely crucifying the performance of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

Calvert-Lewin sort of played by default last season, as the Toffees had very limited options up front and the 21 year-old always put a shift in.

The former Sheffield United youngster has already racked up nearly 50 Premier League appearances at Goodison, but unfortunately Sunday might just have been his worst.

The Toffees were well beaten by Manuel Pellegrini’s Hammers, and Calvert-Lewin was dispossessed the joint-most of any Everton player, and took more unsuccessful touches than any other player on the pitch.

Fans have always appreciated the versatile forward’s work rate, but his lack of influence on Sunday was alarming, and it’s starting to look like a huge mistake from Marco Silva to not sign a new striker this summer.
