It would be fair to say that Morgan Schneiderlin has had a difficult season at Everton, but the midfielder has shown signs of improvement in recent weeks.
Indeed, the 28-year-old, who is valued at £18m by transfermarkt.co.uk, was impressive against Newcastle United on April 23, before putting in a strong display against Huddersfield Town at the weekend as Sam Allardyce’s side made it back-to-back wins.
There is absolutely no question that the Frenchman is a brilliant talent. After all, Manchester United saw enough in the midfielder to bring him to Old Trafford.
The Everton fans have seen a lot of good things from Schneiderlin in the last few weeks, but it appears that many are split over his importance to the team moving forward.
Indeed, whilst a number have welcomed his improvement, there are still plenty that feel the former Southampton midfielder should be sold in this summer’s transfer window.
A selection of the Twitter reaction can be seen below:
👥 | “Morgan is in good form and that is good for the team because he is an important player.”
What have you made of the form of @SchneiderlinMo4 and @IGanaGueye?https://t.co/nOxZR45Utw

SA said just after Xmas that MS had a long way to go before he reproduced the form he showed at Soton. Him and M'llas were in lumber around then. He appears to have taken the criticism on board. Don't underestimate the effect of playing in front of a competent, settled back four.

IMO Schneiderlin have no future at @Everton, I'm happy of his good form as it'll be easier to sell him and easier to get good money for him

Schneiderlin hasnt been the player i thought he would be by a long way no doubt the boys got potential just needs to be more consistent…0 assists and 0 goals and 2 red cards..say no more as for ganagueye he has been better than most in what can only be described as a bad season

Probably Morgan and Gana are the engine of our team and if they had been in top form throughout the season then perhaps the results may well have been different. Morgan staying in front of the back four and Gana supporting the front diamond when appropriate.

Only taken Schneiderlin all season to put some effort in, just shows he’s more than capable of it but for some reason hasn’t shown it consistently.

He’s a terrible let down. Hogs around and never plays a ball further than 10 metres. No vision, no effort and just there for the money. Let’s be honest, we need a complete clear out, new manager, different team. Can it be done? I doubt it. Relegation battle coming.
