Sammy Lee is well known on Merseyside due to his past with Liverpool Football Club, but now it appears that he will be making the controversial move over to Everton.
According to BBC Sport, the 58-year-old is expected to be appointed as an assistant coach at Goodison Park alongside new manager Sam Allardyce.
The 63-year-old has not signed on the dotted line just yet, but Everton have confirmed that Allardyce is on the verge of becoming the successor to Ronald Koeman, who was sacked over a month ago.
Sam Allardyce will be at USM Finch Farm this afternoon to finalise terms on becoming the new manager of Everton Football Club.

Lee came through the Liverpool ranks as a player and was part of the club’s success during the 1980s.
In his coaching career, he had a lengthy spell as part of the backroom team, and then went on to work alongside Allardyce at Bolton Wanderers, England and Crystal Palace.
While it makes sense for the new boss to have his trusted assistants with him, Lee’s potential arrival has caused quite a stir among Everton fans.

Can just about accept Allardyce, but i'd rather Rusty Lee than Sammy Lee #EFC

Not well at the minute so I was hoping something I read between bouts of sleep last night that Everton may be employing Sammy Lee soon was just a fever dream.
Can't wait to lose the derby and have him grinning ear to ear as he drives home. #EFC

If we're paying £6m to Allardyce, putting him on a level with the most successful in the world, along with bringing Sammy Lee & Craig Shakespeare with him, that might just be the final straw for me & @Everton Not sure we could sell our soul any more if we tried! #NSNOmyarse #efc

This is completely wrong in every way, do the board not consider the fans in any of this? Complete and utter shambles.
