Everton fans are starting to lose hope with transfers, as reports suggest a deal for Yerry Mina is not as close as first thought.
Everton fans were getting excited on Tuesday night when reports claimed a deal for Mina was close to being secured for a fee of around €24m (£21m).
The towering Barcelona defender was an absolute beast for Colombia at the World Cup, and he has been linked with a whole host of Premier League moves since his side were knocked out by England.
Everton appear to be one of the leaders in the chasing pack, but The Liverpool Echo have now claimed a deal is nowhere near as advanced as the reports on Tuesday night suggested.
According to the Echo, the talks are on-going but they are “far from complete”. The report does offer some positive news though, claiming the 6 ft 5 colossus is the Toffees’ top target to reinforce the defence, but nonetheless fans are starting to fear the worst.
Last summer was disastrous at Goodison, and fans are getting nervous as the season approaches and there is still so much work left to do.
