Everton fans have taken to Twitter to react after Marco Silva granted his players an extended break before he decides whether or not to take them on a warm weather training camp, as the Toffees have a huge 17-day gap before their next game against Cardiff.
The Merseysiders have won just three of their last 11 Premier League games as the pressure mounts on the former Watford boss, and he will be hoping that his side can put their dismal run of form out of sight as quickly as possible.
Speaking after the 1-0 loss to the Hornets, the Portuguese boss said: “Next week I will give some rest to the players.

“It was tough and not normal, again, because we didn’t expect this (Manchester) City match in the middle of the week.”
Everton would have been hoping to perhaps even challenge for a top-six spot in the top flight this term, but instead they find themselves in ninth position and just the nine points above the relegation zone.
Naturally, given their terrible form at the moment, fans of the Toffees on Twitter are not on board with the decision to give the underperfoming players some time off…

Don’t deserve a rest

Prepare? Kick ball into net. More times than the other team ..That’s it. They are highly paid….professionals…apparently. Shouldn’t need any preparation. That’s all they do.

This is also a good time to change the manager! There should be sufficient time for the new man in charge to familiarise himself with the squad & get ready for Cardiff!

Maybe cut the next home games ticket prices and refund season ticket holders with what it would cost cos they don’t deserve a holiday paid for
